Biography
Dr. Mohammed Mahgoub Bashary is the Head of the Sharia Department at Byblos Bank Africa (Khartoum, Sudan) since December 2020. He is a Member of the Islamic Fiqh Academy in Khartoum, and serves on the Sharia Supervisory Boards of AL Nilein Bank (Abu Dhabi, UAE), Suda Capital Investment and Securities Company, and iCare International Investment Company.
An Associate Professor at AL Nilein University and Sudan Open University, he is also a Certified Trainer at the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI) and the Sudan Academy for Banking and Financial Sciences. He has attended and presented papers at more than forty local and international conferences and has authored extensive research on Sukuk Ijarah, Waqf, microfinance, and Sharia governance.
