Biography
M. Aminul Islam serves as the Director, Information Technology at the Institute of Islamic Finance & Technology (IIFT). He leads IIFT's digital infrastructure, learning management systems, cybersecurity posture, and online programme delivery — making sure that participants across Bangladesh, Malaysia, and the wider Muslim world enjoy a seamless and secure learning experience.
His role bridges Islamic banking and finance education with modern technology: building scalable digital learning environments, supporting hybrid classroom delivery, integrating fintech tools into the IIFT curriculum, and ensuring data privacy and compliance for all stakeholders. He works closely with the academic faculty to translate course content into engaging online experiences and partners with the Business Development team to drive technology-enabled growth.
Mandate at IIFT
- Define and execute IIFT's technology strategy and roadmap
- Operate and continuously improve the Learning Management System (LMS) and live class platforms
- Lead cybersecurity, data privacy and IT governance across all IIFT systems
- Build the student portal, application systems and digital onboarding journey
- Integrate FinTech tools and demo platforms into the IIFT curriculum
