Biography

Md Atiullah serves as the Director, Business Development at the Institute of Islamic Finance & Technology (IIFT). He has successfully completed his Ph.D. viva voce in the Department of Finance, Faculty of Business and Economics, Universiti Malaya, earning his Doctoral Degree in Banking and Finance. He also holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and a Master's degree in Finance from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), where he was twice recognised on the Dean's List for academic excellence.

His business development leadership combines deep academic credentials with on-the-ground banking experience at Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited and administrative roles in Malaysia. He has published research in journals including the International Journal of Sociology and Social Policy, the European Journal of Islamic Finance, and has contributed a book chapter to a Routledge volume on Islamic Sustainable Finance.
